Today I had the pleasure of traveling to the Loudonville Adult Home to do a session on embracing life. The theme for today was Nature, luckily my favorite thing in Fall is the leaves and they are beginning to change. I do not know many people that do not like to see the changing of the leaves so the people who joined me today were happy to share their love for fall with me. Spending time with seniors is one of my favorite things to take part in here at Five Rivers.
They loved to hear the leaves crunch, touch the pine needles as they took a deep breath to smell fall in one small basket. I cannot thank them enough for being a wonderful audience in return they taught me many things. I am happy to know that jumping in a pile of leaves never gets old at any age.
We agreed on the fact that today people do not take the time to explore and flourish their lives in the freedom of nature. A comic I displayed and explained pictured todays technological advances affect on nature exploration. It simply was a woman capturing a photo of the moutain trees in the distance in fall and the husband complaining saying they could have edited the picture from when they were there in the summer to appear like it was fall. His wife told him to "HUSH" and she still captured the moment she wanted to. The men and women listening closely to me began to chuckle amongst themselves at the foolishness of todays society how something so beautiful is taken forgranted.
Thank you.
