MONARCH LARVA MONITORING PROGRAM RESULTS 2010

The University of Minnesota Monarch Larva Monitoring Program was stated here at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center in 2004 by Nancy Payne. I was asked by Nancy to be responsible for leading the program in 2007.

Our volunteers have completed their weekly survey of Monarch butterfly eggs, larva and adults for this 2010 season; which were at 1:00 p.m. Wednesdays in the field behind the main building of the Center. These dedicated  milkweed

leaf turners are Cindy Carlstead, Miles Garfinkel, Bob Pettie, Ted Shaw, Phyllis Howel and our once and future volunteer Terry Pilon.

The results of our site and all others from north america can be found by going to the program website.
